ArtKlub is a group of friends who are local Northern Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and Washington DC artists that meet weekly for fun, self-education and encouragement, and to obtain critiques and try vet new ideas. In 2001 I studied Chinese calligraphy at the Smithsonian Resident Associates with an artist from Shanghai. That summer I enrolled in Chinese language courses at the Northern Virginia Community College. I have been studying Chinese ever since. In 2010 I completed a graduate program at the Hopkins- Nanjing Center (HNC).
